"The Woman at the Light" by bookstoread (see profile) 08/15/ I found it a very good read. The hardships that the women of that era had to endure and the way that she was able to have the life she deserved and provide for her children was a statement of how strong.   In Frances Mayes' novel, American women opt for a year in Tuscany over a Southern retirement community and discover new dreams. A 4-star book review.

Into the Light by P. Lynn Miller Into the Light: Finding Hope Through Prayers of Lament. By P. Lynn Miller. Suggestions for Leaders by Dee Koza. Welcome to the – Presbyterian Women/Horizons Bible study, Into the Light: Finding Hope Through Prayers of Lament. In this nine-lesson study, Lynn Miller revives lament as a proper theological response to the difficult situations of our world. Women Light The World is a platform to help rural women step into the role of global leader. These brave leaders are breaking social norms and taking up the challenge to transform their communities in a way that will preserve their breathtaking beautiful environment, and help protect the resources of our planet for their children and grandchildren.

Despite the rather ordinary, modern appearance of the book’s cover, THE WOMAN AT THE LIGHT is a true historical novel with many creative nuances and exceptional era details. This is the well-written creation of an experienced writer and a fantastic love story to boot. Virginia Woolf is an outstanding and unique novelist who portrays the inner self of the human mind rather than the happenings in the external life. Woolf’s To the Lighthouse deals with the conflict between the feminine and masculine values which is universal in nature. The women in the fiction represent both extremes of femininity.
